Hello Everyone.
I just got my Colt Government XSE on Monday, Since all my local ranges and shops are closed on Monday, I had to wait to shoot her until today.
I used 300 rounds of Winchester White Box 100 round value packs.
The Good:
The Bad:
#1 On one of my magazines, on the final round the slide would hold open, and the round would be sitting in the chamber free to jiggle around. (Happened on round 8 & 24, same magazine, final round in the magazine)
#2 The socket screw that holds the back sight in place, unscrewed itself, I didn’t notice until my shots were no longer going where I wanted them, and the sight was moving left & right.
The Fix:
#1 I compared my two magazines, on the one that was giving me the problem, the piece that engages the slide stop, was too far from the piece that the bullet rests on. I just used my fingers to squeeze them closer, and that fixed the problem.
#2 An "allen wrench", and some blue Loctite + a 20 minutes wait for it to set.
Overall I am very happy, and relieved, after hearing about soo many problems that 1911's can have.

The Good:
- Excellent Trigger Pull, Better than any of my current pistols.
- Slide to Frame fit was perfect, not too "tight" it also wasn’t loose.
- Accuracy is Dead On, perfect, I don’t have a rest to really test the accuracy right now, but it was shooting better than my CZ75. I will say 5" groups at about 22yards
- The white dots on the sights bump out, instead of a resessed easy to clean the powder residue off.
- No feeding problems, after I fixed the magazine. *See Below
