Just got my first whitetail ever with a BP muzzleloader: a T/C Encore 209x50 rifle. Load was a saboted .44 caliber 240 grain XTP over 100 grains of GOEX FFg. Story posted in the Hunting forum.

Congrats, I know exactly how you feel; got my 1st with a T/C Hawkins with a GM sabot barrel and the same bullet combo two yrs ago at 135 paces, the last day of B/p season. Took a week to get out of the clouds. I've taken deer with rifle, pistol and crossbow, but that was my 1st B/p and took all season til the last day.
