Hey guys:
Never owned a gun before, but I'm looking to purchase my first gun. After a lot of research online and at the gun range, I've narrowed it down to the Glock 26 gen 4 for concealed-carry.
However, during my research, I found a lot of posts about problems with the gen 4, particularly a high incidence of FTE. I think this was more prevelant with the larger glock models, but several threads included the Glock 26 gen 4. They mentioned Wal-mart's Federal 115gr ammo as the culprit, but I don't recall the gen 3 ever having this issue.
Couple o' questions:
1. If the double-spring is identical to the gen 3, has Glock done anything to fix this issue on the 26?
2. Should I ask the gun store to give me their "newest" batch? Is there some type of production date stamped on the box so I can check myself?
