Shot my Walker(Uberti) today for the first time. I've had it for a year or two but haven't shot it. Matter of fact, I've never loaded and shot C&B at all. But today was the day and what a hoot. I think I'm hooked. This behemoth is going to get a lot of exercise. Loaded with 45g Goex FFFg, wonder wad, and round ball and it shot it about as accurate as my Ruger Super Blackhawks. I had everybody near me coughing though.:)

If memory serves me right and sometimes it does, the Walker Colt .44 was the most powerful handgun in the world until the .357 Magnum came out in 1935.

I chronographed one that my buddy has and a 141 grain round ball with 50 grains of Goex FFFG (I believe this is a maximum load so work up and approach with caution) averaged over 1200 feet per second. They are big fun to shoot.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Nope supposably you can put in 60 grains i never could but i managed to get in about 56 grains Goex. Wow what a loud BOOM Soo cool. Managed to set off a few car alarms in the parking lot as well. lol

You are gonna love that ol horse pistol - I'm staying with 30-40 grains and homemade balls - shes a shooter. LOL bring plenty of powder and balls - you will use them :D
