Well, today I got to go shooting for the first time in almost six months. I took my 640 and my 3" 65, and shot pretty well with both. The only troubling part about the whole trip was that the 65, which has a Teddy J. trigger, had some light primer strikes on WWB .38 ammo. I'm going to call or email and see if his triggers are recomended for federal primers only, as I've seen that mentioned on Miculek's website. Both performed flawlessly with federal ammo, and the little 640 almost jumped out of my hand with 158gr .357! Not painful, just a little tough to hang on to. My wife even enjoyed shooting both guns, while she didn't attempt either with full power .357. The range is about an hour away, and now that I know how to get there I think I'll be going a lot more than once every six months!!!
The target on the left is a five shot group from the 640 and measures 1 3/8" from a range of about 15-20 feet. The target on the right is a six shot group from the 65 and measures 1 1/2" from the same range. I measured from center to center of the outer most shots, is that the appropriate technique?
