vegas,
It's your gun, it needs to be something YOU like, not what a bunch of strangers on the Internet like. As long as you stick to a brand name, reputable manufacturer's product that has been widely sold for decades, you shouldn't run into any surprises. Spend some time before you spend your money. Look at and handle different shotguns in the store. Evaluate how they fit you and how they feel, look at their different features and decide which you prefer.
If possible, get family/friends/co-workers who shoot to take you to the range and get some trigger time on their shotguns. You buy the ammunition, of course. There's a lot more to be said for hands-on experience than just listening to internet advice.
And if you have no family or friends who shoot, try looking for different gun clubs or ranges near you that offer rental guns. Some clubs may even offer basic instruction in shooting clays, while you're at it.
After you have some hands-on time, THEN decide what shotgun you like best, and buy one. IMHO you'll make a more informed purchase that way.
Good luck and happy shopping,
