The new AR180B went to the range this past weekend. 200 rounds fired. Not a single failure to feed, eject, or cycle. Groups at 50 yards for the initial sighting in were a little off to the left and up. A few adjusments, and it made jagged holes at that range
100 yards, the groups opened up to about 2 inches. This was with firing standing, not sitting at the bench.
I am a little concerned about the fact that during slow fire the empties kick back against the rifle, just abaft of the ejection port. That leaves little brass marks on the finish. I spoke to Neil at the factory, and he says that this is the result of no shell deflector, and it is not a problem.
Overall, I would say that I am very pleased. Accurate, reliable, and lots of fun. The rifle is much lighter than my HBAR, and is more accurate than my new AR15A2.
