So the stars finally aligned for me and the wife to get to the range.
Was a mixed experience for her. She is still very nervous around firearms and in particular, having the power of life and death in her hands.
That being said, she had a couple jams the first 2 magazines, which I attribute to her first 2 ever fired AND the first 2 ever run through this weapon (Keltec P-11). After those she ran close to 100 rounds through. Got some good experience. Had a little bite from the slide, just a nip. But she settled down into racking the slide (which she first had issue with) and got 'er done.
I can tell you, her first trip out was MUCH better than my first trip out. She was mostly slightly off to the left. But everything was grouped within 4 inches. I mean she was consistent as heck. I am betting once she gets that straightened out she will be better than me, lol.
Firearm performed well. had a few jams. Which we expected. Actually read I should expect it with the first 50 on the p-11. We had practiced how to deal with jams before we left with snap caps. So she was more than prepared and handled it like a charm. I know shooters with years of experience who are less safe than she was.
