I'm looking at getting a FIST IWB holster and was wanting some input from those who have them. would you go with leather or kydex? I have used both in IDPA but never IWB. I'm looking mainly at the #19 leather or the K1 kydex. any helpful input will be apreciated.

I own six holsters made by FIST..................

five in leather and one in kydex. My personal choice for a FIST holster has been the #1 IWB with the metal clip. Easy on, easy off, comfortable and stable. For me, a great CCW holster. Of course you still need a good belt. I vastly prefer FIST leather holsters over their kydex models and that is not a comment on quality - just personal preference.

My personal experience with FIST is that they deliver a quality holster at a very fair price. For me, average delivery time has been 3-4 weeks which is what they promised when I ordered.

I am quite pleased with my holsters by FIST and recommend them as a good firm with which to deal. Good shooting;)

I own two fist IWB holsters. My favorite is the #19 CLOSE CROPPED with a CLOSED BOTTOM.

I also have a #11 CLOSE CROPPED COMBINATION with PARTIAL REINFORCEMENTS and a TENSION SCREW.

I also have a #32 DOUBLE MAG POUCH.

I also have one of there BELTS but did not like it cause it was only thick on one side and caused the belt stress in the area where it went from thick to thin.

The Belt I am using now is from Tucker Leather and is thick all the way around.

Other than the belts I highly recommend Fist Holsters. And I highly recommend adding the closed bottom to IWBs. It keeps fuzz out of your barrel.

I use to have a FIST IWB, but traded it away. The craftsmanship was excellent in both fit and finish, the price was very good, but in the final analysis it rode too high for my personal taste. I was sorry it carried my pistol that way, as I really wanted to keep it, but couldn't get comfortable with it. YMMV.

Same here...I'm a bit of a holster snob...all my leather is Alessi or Delfatti...but I bought a fist #1 with forward cant and sweatshield for my P7 since it had all the features I wanted in a clip on.....it's also two pieces of leather sewn together as opposed to a wrap around with reinforced mouth....nice and flat in the pants....all in all...a great rig for the money....
