"We are five peacekeeper here: me, a Croation, a Nigerian, a Malian and a Togolese," said Khaled, the Egyptian major. There are hundreds of thousands of people in this region. There are maybe six arimies fighting each other in this region. Bunia, where Britian is considering sending several hundred troops to bolster a promised French mission under the auspices of the United Nations.

About 4 million people have died in the savage civil war and the UN is investigating reports of cannibalism and other atrocities. Two UN peacekeepers, hacked to death this month, may have been victims of Cannibalism.

There are 750 unarmed UN peacekeeping forces in Bunis but unable to use force. Unarmed and trapped in their compound. {I would say the UN is in need of some firepower!}

John 17: 1-4
"For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

WonderNine, cracks like that ain't perzackly High Road, but I think the UN "leadership" has brought it on themselves. They talk, talk, talk, but the results of all that talk generally wind up with a bunch of money spent, more dead bodies, and little worthwhile in the way of peacefulness.

My view of the UN leadership is that they are contemptible people who work diligently at reinforcing this opinion. Since I tend to make judgements based on the results of decisions and actions, I doubt my opinions will change anytime soon...

Art, there`ll always be a U.N. if it stays in NYC. There are enough transvestite hookers and dealers of primo dope for the delegates. Move it to Somalia and watch what happens. :rolleyes:
