flame cutting non magnum?

Hi everyone, I've seen several threads related to flame cutting of top strap on 44 mag. and 357 mag. I guess mostly with lighter faster 125 gr. loads. I'm wondering if this happens on non magnum loads, such as 45 colt or 38 spl. or is it directly related to the higher pressure magnum cartridges, producing hotter gases? thanks,

It probably happens to some small extent with any revolver, but the higher pressures and hot gasses of Magnum-level cartridges cut deeper quicker.

It happens to all revolvers. It just happens more quickly with high pressure cartridges.
