I'm doing some research on the AWB because of a debate a friend and I are in. He just got a job doing out-going phone calls to get donatios for charity organization. Currently he is getting donations to extend the Brady Bill and the AWB. It's kind of odd to debate because his info biased for the bill, because what he's been told at work is all he knows, and my info is biased against it, because I love me some guns...:D

Anywho, I was going through some AWB websites and came across this flash movie. It's called "A vision of American, brought to you by the gun industry"

Parts of it made me giggle. Check out the slide showing how Ak-47's are marketing to children... hehe.

(I didn;t know what the search under to make sure this wasn't a repost, if it is, forgive me, it can be deleted than)

which pic is Olegs?

We should write them and let them know that they have no right to use the photo for their own purposes unless they can show his authorization in written form.

That's a good point. It would be very interesting to look at the ads that they show and see how many of them were altered or made up for this movie. When scene go by in less than a second it's hard to see the alterations.

I'm not sure that would work, because I think that Oleg qualifies as a "public figure". Anyone willing to fact-check me on this?

I guess he would need to have copyright's to his pictures for that to work huh?

We can still let them know that we do not appreciate them using his images in for this means.

Easy to buy assault weapons in the US? I take that as a compliment. As for the rest of the movie? Laughable at best.

Also noticed that places like this rarely have good contact information...

I spotted 2 Pictures of Oleg in it.

I'm pulling the .swf file appart & will post them soon.
have to crack the file protection first though....

^^^Shhh, Zedicuz, don't say that out loud. Now if the people who follow that website, happen to read this one, we'll get a new movie about how all gun owners are hackers. :D

Actualy you don't Hack or Crack anything, you simply bypass it :neener:
100% legit & nothing anyone can do about it.

as for what I found, there is One Pic of Oleg used Twice, & another that I'm certan is one that he took but can't find on Oleg's site at the moment.

Each is used for between 1/16th & 1/4 of a seccond....

Here are the Pics.

Oops, thanx Nightfall. Like I said, I wasn't sure what to look under, so I couldn't search to see if it was a repost.

Oleg, if you want to delete this, for being a repost, or merge it with one of the older posts, I won't be offended.

I looked around a bit at their site - the page for NJ shows assault weapons stats - one cops killed in ten years is one too many but doesn't strike me as a high number. Also, their stats for number of assault weapons used in crimes during the ban doesn't seem to show anything.

They have been outlawed and yet they are still in use by criminals . . . . . hmmmmmm.

And Folks, they want to ban ALL SEMI AUTO Guns. Not just assault weapons but pistols and shotguns too.

That's scary.

I'm pulling the .swf file appart & will post them soon.

Can't wait. I had seen this before and wished the images did not go by so fast. Looks like they used some shots of some hot babes in that one. Would like to give my business to folks who have such good taste in advertising.

I did learn something on their sight. Illinois produces more “post-ban†“assault rifles†than any other state. WOOHOO, it’s nice to see we’re leading something other than tougher legislation.

Saw the movie-I was, er, moved.

Is the problem that guns are inexpensive, or that sneakers are just WAY overpriced?

:D

Well, in the spirit of "know thy enemy" I sign up for the "action alerts". I'll just try not to read them while I'm eating.
