Flashlights as weapons?

I carry a Surefire Z2 or one of two G2 Nitrolons. Good, full bright light with no dark spots in the beam. Only takes one hand to operate. Especially like to have one on me when flying or staying in hotels. Spend the extra bucks and get a good holster (dang, does that sound familiar, or what?).

I also carry a Mini Maglite (AAA). The Surefire is just too bright for a lot of everyday tasks, and all I do is blind myself with the reflection.

I carry a 3 cell Surefire, cos the more common 2 cells are just abit small for my hands.

It can be used as a source of blinding light, a weapon of sorts (as a kubotan) or as a projectile (thrown). Yes, some may have reservations about throwing a $90 flashlight...
