We went out yesterday and my neighbor got 5 with one shot. Looks like in a month or so we will be having a bunch of little ones running around. Gotta make sure the AR's are ready!

They get pretty ugly when they rip apart and eat the dead ones right on top of their mounds. Maybe they should be called Donner squirrels?

If you are referring to the cannibalistic serial killer, it's spelled "Dahmer"

I am also aware of the Donner party, but failed to clarify in my post. Thanks. :)
That vid looks interesting if I could get it to load. Phooey.

I'm sure that rat died from the projo hitting it and if that wasn't the case, being torn apart by the resultant force of the projo ripping through its body and blowing it up did. the fact that it landed on a barbed wire fence seems more of a chance happening, like finding and shooting a deer or an elk with a grotesquely non-typical rack. Not making fun of any killed animal, and contrary to the ethical nature of hunting, these vermin need not be consumed (although the old pennsylvania dutch farmer I used to work for during the summer did eat groundhog pretty often). This isn't hunting, this is pest control and thus only the most effective means need to be employed. A 22-250 fits the bill, and the photo is only evidence of the anomalytic nature of the final disposition of said prarie dog. Kind of like this:

"Hey, Bill. You'll never guess what happened out in the field last weekend while shooting groundhogs."

"What, you actually shot one you were aiming at for once?" (haha)

"No, I hit this one about 150 yards out under the property line and I'll be damned if he didn't hop right up out of his hole and land on the top wire of the fence!"

"Bullpuckey."

"No, seriously."

"Who's to say you didn't just pick up the vermin and toss it up on the wire?"

"I even took a photo. See? Looking all messed up like that you couldn't expect me to actually touch the filthy thing, could ya?"

"Well I'll be...just like you said. Bet you couldn't do that twice."

Looks to me that this all he's doing. providing us with some proof that not only is it possible, he actually made it happen.
