I saw one of the FMK 9C1 "Bill of Rights" models at the last gun show I went to. It's not often that I am able to pick up a gun and look at it before I've heard of it, but I'd never heard of FMK or the 9C1.

FMK appears to be a new company, based out of California of all places. The handgun is polymer framed and striker fired. Yeah, it's another ugly little polymer pistol, but if it turns out to shoot halfway decent then folks will have a US-made option under $450.

My initial impressions upon handling it: not overly impressed; it looks cheap because of laser-engraved wording (yeah I know it's the Bill of Rights, it still looks cheap), red trigger safety, and lack of texturing on the frame. Also, mag capacity is limited to 10 rounds for now. I did really like the way the top of the slide was rounded, not square like a Glock.

Here's their website: http://fmkfirearms.com/index.html
