I have read and heard that the milsurp ammo is of higher pressure and may ruin a Hi Power. Is this the case? Didn't they use this ammo in Europe and other countries in the Hi Power?

There is some surplus 9mm submachinegun ammo out there that should not be used in Hi Powers. Same thing for Tokarevs (7.62x25) and probably others. Maybe that's what you heard about?

Is it the 147g 9mm ammo you are referring to? That stuff was made for use in SMGs for cycling reliability.

If you are talking about surplus 115g or 124g, they should be OK.
