Actually can we convert this thread to an info thread?

I'd like to know more about the FN Five seveN.

Any info? What is it's appeal? And designed for what exactly? Ballistics etc. Anything you know...

For all I knew was that it was a sidearm platform to use the same ammo as the p90 and that's it.

It's designed to make money by conning politician-generals and becoming a NATO standard. It's FN's policy to keep info from you and spread disinformation because it sucks in reality, the only way you'll like it is if they keep it from you so as to build a "you can't have it uber-tactical" mystique. a well-designed armor piercing 9mm bullet would have better stopping power and armor penetration.
 
A GSC tried to sell me one a few weeks ago. Though I liked it for the "gee whiz" factor I don't think I'll be buying one anytime soon. (within the next year or so) :cool:
