Like others, I haven't fired one, just held it in the store, and it is verrry plastic. I released the magazine and re-inserted it and it sounded like a child's toy. All that said, it understand it shoots straight and without significant recoil by those who have shot it.

Is this the handgun that's in the game "Splinter Cell"? I've been trying to find this gun forever, since the rifle in the game is another FN model. The something-2000 IIRC.

LTrain...

Yes, the handgun in splinter cell is the FiveseveN. I didnt know that the rifle actually existed though. The rifle in the game is called the SC20-K and is some type of bull-pup design.

I checked FN's webpage, the rifle in the game is based on the FN S2000. It looks exactly like the one in the game, but I don't believe it fires the special rounds. It does fire non-lethal rounds, I think.

So, this Fiveseven, its available to the public now? FN's webpage makes no mention of it. Where can I buy this handgun? I've been looking for a carry gun...

Larry- some are available on gunbroker.com, and I belive you can call the people at http://www.wholesalehunter.com/ and they will help you out.

FN is keeping the weapon very much out of the press, to avoid a mess similar to the 'Black Talon' BS.

Especially when the AWB susnets, and we can own normal 20 round magazines, it should be an intresting gun. I'm just waiting for the CA DOJ to get off their butts and certify it!

I saw two of them, and they were both the IOM model, but both had safeties and single action triggers. I am under the impression that they can be carried cocked and unloaded, since the safety internally only blocks the trigger and does not do anything related to the hammer or firing pin.

The trigger felt decent, I mean -- about the same as a Browning HiPower. Not any worse.

Why would there be a mess? Just because of the hi-cap plus potential AP prospects stuff?
