UDATED (cannot EDIT thread title? )
OK...did not realize LaRue still had those long lag times...last time I checked was during the 2012-13 "madness"?
* substitute ANY AR 10 "type" APROX. $2,700. to $3,000., IN PLACE OF LaRue PredatAR.
Help me , please...I know it's kinda "apples vs. oranges" ...
...but oh 'dem apples, and those oranges are sweet.
Both around the same price , give or take a C-note...$2,700.- $2,800.
I like them both for different reasons, don't know much about the SCAR, except all that I've read...and heard from owners, most who say,
"trigger sucks", especially for a $2700. gun... got to go Geissele or Timney?
Gotta replace the trigger in a $2,700. Rifle, to make it
"all it can be"...?
Hmmm...FN & Ruger BOTH ( same deal with the Ruger SR762 )
Ah, so that would be $300. + more, for a good trigger, making the
FN SCAR 17s, cost more than the LaRue PredatAR by about $200.
The Reciprocating charging handle may get some getting used to, not only for painful reasons, but I hear complaints that the movement on one side, kinda throws the Rifle off, unbalanced?
But I hear it is the softest shooting .308 of any Battle Rifle due to muzzle break, piston, design of gun or?
The LaRue, nothing new...really, classic D.I. in 7.62x51, but great quality, I hear.
Your "take", Pros & Cons...opinions with reasons?
Thanks.
