We have just begun shipping our AR stock, grip and rail kits for Remington 870 and Mossberg 500, and the Winchester 1300 version should be available in about three weeks.

Will the 1300 version fit without the use of the top accessory rail? I have a ghost ring setup that I am very partial to and have no need to install optics. Hard to tell exactly how it fits to the receiver from the photo on the web site.

The High-tube design, our current version, features a high cheek weld and requires the use of the top rail.

We will be introducing a Low-tube line in about six months. This new system is being specifically designed for use with Scattergun, Vang Comp and other receiver-mounted sighting systems.

So we should be able to help you in early 2005.

First, we recognized that the manual of arms changes with a pistol grip, any pistol grip. With a pistol grip, your thumb is below the receiver, so you can't reach the safety to flip it on or off as you could with a traditional stock.

So we simply installed a spacer between the top rail and the adapter. This allows enough space for the safety to be manipulated by a thumb or finger. I won't pretend it is easy, but it isn't difficult to access either.

BROWNELL'S sell an OVERSIZED MOSSBERG SAFETY BUTTON for around $12 that replaces the factory button and kind of hangs over one side of the frame so your thumb can sweep it off.
