Am most likely going to be purchasing a Fobus holster in the very near future. Will be using it for my Sig P220 Match SAO. First question is for hot weather CCW, what's recomended the belt attatched holster or the paddle holster? I've never used a paddle holster before but from what I gather they offfer quite a bit of flexibilty for wear while walking, driving, or otherwise. Second question I will be reffering to Fobus but may be answered here as well. Does anyone know if the longer slide on the Match model is an issue with fitment to the Fobus 220 holsters? Thanks in advance for the info.

I'm not trying to stir a pot but. Why have you chosen Fobus? I do agree their price is appealing but my personal opinion would be to look into other options. Comp-Tac holsters are another popular holster I have heard people really like. There are several other holster manufacturers out there other than Fobus. I guess its food for thought and may be something to look into. Another way of looking at is, how much did you pay for your pistol? Just something to consider. I also like a belt holster over a paddle holster.

If I were going to wear it all day I would choose the belt. If not the paddle is very convenient.

While Fobus is not the quality of Comp-tac, for instance, I have used several for over 10 years without any problems. I use them at the range, and sometimes carry CC.

Others may have had bad experiences with Fobus, but my experience has been satisfactory. I personally like the fact that the paddle holster rides low, and holds the gun closer that some others like the Uncle Mike or Galco paddles.

Best,
Jerry

Thanks for the responses. BTW reason I chose Fobus is a great discount deal was made available to me recently. At the price I'm going to pay I feel like I can't afford not to get one. This is how I end up with lots of my gun stuff. Deals too good to say no to. :)

I use a Fobus paddle quite often at the range. It's comfortable, convenient, and cheap. The paddle is a lot easier to remove or reposition than a belt holster, too.

I wanted to get something for range use that wouldn't break the bank since my other holsters are IWB concealment rigs and the Fobus fit the bill perfectly.

My daily carry is a springfield xd sub comp in a fobus paddle.

I've used this rig for about 3 years now.

I find it to be comfortable most the time.

I recommend boxers over briefs in the summer though as the plastic can stick to your leg on hot days.

The draw is smooth but a little noisy and the newer models have an adjustable retention screw so yo ucan adjust how tight the gun is to draw from the holster.

Exact same reason here.
