Folding Pistol Grip For Mossberg 500

Not to many people around here will recommend a folding pistol grip for any shotgun because they are generally a compromise and inferiour to a full stock.
I prefer pistol grips(folding, non folding) on shotguns that have a cross bolt type safety over the tang that the Mossbergs have because they are easier to operate.
I like the way mossberg controls work with a regular stock.
If I had to choose a folder though i'd probably try one from Knoxx Industries.....

Looks like they won't be available till July though.

I used have a Butler Creek folding stock on mine along with every other gadget you could buy. The only thing they did was get in the way of the controls. As stated in the above post, the Mossberg works best with a standard full stock. The biggest problem with the folding stock was access to the safety.

+1 on Knoxx if a folder is a "must" for particular task, storage needs, etc.

It does reduce recoil some, but it just felt too weird for me so I sold mine.

Also, agreement that the folder is a trade-off in terms of access to safety and action release button.

Good luck!
