ok question is it possible for me to take out the sear disengage (aka thing on the frame safety meets to decock) on my beretta 96 so i can dry fire without wear on my pin and spring?

I vote snap cap.

You should be more worried about breaking your disengage than wearing-out your pin & springs from dry-firing.

Dryfire away. That gun ain't gonna fall apart. Buy some snap caps for the piece of mind. Snap caps do need to get replaced every once in a while though since they do wear out from use.

well i dont really care for the decock because i never use it and i just popped out the sear and im gonna try it dao tomorrow... i wonder if i can make it sao

Why mess with the design of your pistol? If you want SAO, then get into SAO-designed guns.

You sound like someone who is going to tinker with their gun to the point that it stops functioning reliably. This might be fine with an car, but if this is going to be a self-defense weapon, you are playing with your own life if you mess with reliability.

If this is not your primary, then go ahead, otherwise, leave it alone.

I may be beretta dumb, but at least I'm punctuation and capitalization smart. ;)

I find the da first shot trigger hard to come tp grips with and usually leave it in condition 2 and cock the hammer. I think if I was carrying it defensively I'd use the da on first shot, or maybe I'd just carry my 1911 in condition 1.

i already know if you pop out the sear its dao now i think if i disconnect the trigger bar from the hammer and then directly to the sear it will be sao
