Missed out on a model 64 snubby, but stumbled on a Ruger year-end liquidation sale. They had the 2012 22 LCRs marked down to $378.

Being one of the biggest critics of "plastic" revolvers I was forced to sit down at tonight's dinner table and indulge in a fine dish of plastic crow. For desert... humble pie :eek:;).

When I first picked it up I was surprised how it felt... lightweight with great balance. The barrel and cylinder are stainless and the barrel/cylinder housing are aluminum. The only plastic part is the the grip and trigger frame. It tips the scales at 14.5 oz and IMO makes a fine "kit gun".

We embarked on our maiden voyage today and it performed flawless with 300 rounds of Walmart Rem. bulk ammo (a great test for any 22 :rolleyes:). The short trigger pull is real nice. I was able to cap off 8 rounds faster than my 22 auto!

Purchased one in the spring, kick in the butt to shoot. The only downside is having to keep loading every minute or so. Nice purchase, Skidder.
 
The English are fond of Rook pies. That must be why there are no English restaurants in USA.
 
You will really like your Crow. In my opinion anyone who carrys a J Frame size Snub needs to own either an LCR-22 or a 43C for practice. You can get the bugs out of your trigger squeeze without breaking the bank with a 22 LR.
I can tell a big improvement in my 442 accuracy after owning the LCR-22 for over a year. Trigger Time is much cheaper shooting a 22.

Yes, a real kick to shoot. My kid and I took it out and shot till our frozen fingers said, "enough".
The trigger is different from any other revolver I've owned: short, crisp, and rebounds real quick.
 
I wouldnt have ONE of those plastic things in my house, well maybe I bought two of them one for me one for wife. It is a fun thing to shoot i set and put a entire box of bulk thru it one day at the range. I took three 22's and wound up only cleaning one and we know which one that was. Enjoy it I know we sure do.

I had to hold onto my slush fund until we received confirmation of our Christmas bonus. Unfortunately, confirmation came a little late.
Not to disappointed though, I was wanting a snubby and a 22 so this worked out pretty good.
