I have been working on concealed carry since 2007. I belong to

and Todd Vandermyde, the NRA lobbyist is a member there. Todd has written all the Bills for the last couple of years and he has written HB 997 introduced Rep Brandon Phelps and SB 1284 introduced by Senator Forby.

We have almost got this done. Illinois Carry was one of the plantiff's in Moore v madigan which is the lawsuit that resulted in the injunction against the State preventing them from enforcing UUW unless they come up with a concealed carry law.

Speaker Mike Madigan is about to attempt something sneaky this coming Tuesday and we need all the help we can get. Please contact by email and phone both your State reps and State senators and tell them not to vote for any bad bills and that you only support the NRA approved bills. Please do this yourself and if at all possible, please copy and paste this note to every internet forum that you know of where illinois residents may read it.

The Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day (IGOLD) in March 6 in Springfield. We normally draw about 6,000 voters but this year we need to draw as many as possible. The IL legislature will be considering anti-gun Bills even more stringent than those passed in New York. Please make every effort to join us in our fight against the tyranical hold of the Chicago machine. We are winning but we need all possible help to finish the fight.

For those of you who have always thought there was no way to win, we have done it, we have won in the Courts now help us preserve our win.

I would like to reinforce what Bud has said. Speaker Madigan is going to try and ram this "May Issue" bill down our throats next week unless we stop him like we stopped Sen. President Cullerton recently. We need to melt the phone lines of our reps and also Madigan's phones this Monday and Tuesday - Feb. 25 & 26. Like they say in Chicago call early and call often! Also, tell your rep to support HB0997, Shall Issue carry.

Mike Madigan is ticked off...

Why is Mike Madigan so ticked off? Quite simply, he’s ticked off because the 7th District Court of Appeals has told him plainly that the legislature must bow to constitutional authority – not to the whims of Mike Madigan. And we all know what a control freak Mike Madigan is.

No, Mike Madigan is no longer in control of the concealed carry debate. The courts have said once and for all that Illinois will join 49 other states in allowing citizens to carry defensive firearms.

The court has really ticked Madigan off...

Mike Madigan is so ticked off that he plans to introduce his own version of a concealed carry bill early next week. Of course, under Madigan’s carry bill, the only people who would be allowed to carry would be... um... nobody.

Although the details of Madigan’s concealed carry bill (HR1155) have not yet been released, those close to Madigan are saying that it will be the most restrictive concealed carry bill in the nation.

One insider termed Madigan’s proposal, “...the closest thing to no-carry at all.”


WHAT YOU MUST DO TO STOP MADIGAN’S INSULTING BILL

1. Beginning first thing Monday morning, call your state representative and politely tell them that you are a law-abiding firearm owner and that you oppose Madigan’s insulting HR1155 and that you would like them to vote against the bill.

2. Pass this alert on to all your friends and family members and ask them to call their state representatives as well.

3. Please post this alert to any and all Internet blogs or bulletin boards to which you belong.

Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan is expected to use a sneaky "Shell Game" to ram Chicago Style carry law through yhe Illinois House on Tuesday!!

In an attempt to stonewall the passage of a good carry law, HB0997 and other good gun bills, have been sidelined in a House sub-committee. The Speaker of the House plans to use a shell bill - an empty bill with no text - and turn it into a nightmarish Chicago style carry bill and push it through the House on Tuesday. We suspect it will be HB1155 but it could any number of shell bills.

Calls, Emails, FAXs Need Sent to Your State Rep's Local and Springfield Office NOW!

1. Urge them to be present at the State Capitol all day Tuesday. (Unless they are anti-Right to Carry, then they can take a snow day!)

2. Urge them to oppose any and all amendments to HB1155 (or any carry bill) that are not endorsed by the NRA/ISRA/IllinoisCarry.

3. Urge them to support ONLY amendments to HB1155 (or any carry bill) endorsed by NRA/ISRA/IllinoisCarry.

Our message to all legislators:
NO BAD BILL, NO BAD AMENDMENTS
