What's the ratio for you?

$$$ to RKBA (NRA, GOA, SAF, pro-gun candidates)
------------------------------------------------ = X% ratio
$$$ on guns, ammo, accessories, etc.

I am in the 1% catagory so far this year. In previous years RKBA would have been 75-100% of gun related spending as I was not buying firearms. This year I have a extra funds and have been buying what I went without all those years, so my ratio is what it is.

BTW I think your "Shame on you" is exactly right and have been planning on a nice donation or two, which doesn't count for squat since I have not done it yet. Thanks for the kick in the butt.

6% this year, but it has been sort of a stocking up year for me.

Last year was 57%.

I belong the NRA & the TSRA. Send them a few bucks over and above dues, but put in the perspective of a percentage of what I spend on shooting, it really makes me stop and realize I need to do more.

I am barely above 10%, and that is only because I send some $ Ron Paul's way.

The primary reason I'm above 50% is because I seldom buy guns. I was for years the prototypical 3-gun man. I have recently picked up a couple of shotguns (the new one was made in 1926) and 3 more BP rifles (of which I got to keep 1...thievin' grandkids.) That is over 3 years.

I'm making contributions to ILA, SAF and some politicians.

Do all the major RKBA groups publicize how much of that money goes to the cause? I'd love to support the rkba but I don't want my money going to full color mailers trying to recruit people who may be antis. The NRA is by far the biggest RKBA group and I'm a member but I want to make sure our dollars help grease the wheels in washington (sad, but that's how it works) or help train kids to be the next generation of riflemen.
Money helps but only if it goes to the right place. I'm sure some of these orgs have massive overhead and if they are doing good then I'll support it but I'd like to see where it all goes. I agree with the GOA more and like the no-compromise attitude but do they have any pull in DC?

If you google a bit the breakdown of spending for the nra and nra-ila are pretty easily found.
