For those of you who have firearm videos...

A friend of mine on another gun forum has created a website for firearm videos of all varities. It is modeled after YouTube, but is specifically for firearms. Since it is run by gun folk, we can weed out the videos of people acting stupid and foolishly that portray gun owners badly.

We're looking for any kind of firearm videos... instructional, range fun, reviews, etc...

It's free to join and it's growing pretty quickly. There are already a lot of good videos on there.. two very good videos on proper grip of a handgun.

Good thinking. Hopefully, someone will post instructional videos on basic maintenance/cleaning of various firearms. Sometimes the manuals which ship with the gun aren't very specific with regard to disassembly and cleaning. This is particularly true of most shotgun manuals I've seen.

I definitely agree with you there... When I get back to the states and get access to my guns again, I plan on putting up instructional videos like that.

I'm in the same boat as you.. I don't think the instruction manuals are all that great, either!

Unless someone took video of my CCW class or me shooting the guns I carry, nothing I shoot for fun at the range is a weapon.

I guess that site isn't for my gun and recreational shooting related footage.

The stated purpose of the site is to portray gun owners in a good light, yet the chosen URL plays right into the hands of one of the worst connotations of guns and shooting.

You want guns and shooting to be mainstream? Work to seperate guns and an assumption of violence.

YES!!

Non-shooters associate the act of shooting with an act of violence. This is obviously not true, but whether you like it or not, it IS the way guns are perceived.

If we want all shooting and all guns to be accepted (not just hunting and hunting guns as it is now), the act of recreational shooting must not be seen as a violent act.

Referring to all guns as weapons only enforces the perception that guns are tools of violence.

This is today's politics, this is today's reality.

we have had more people sign up but we do need more videos on the site. If you have any videos please upload them to the site. If you are a member of any other gun forums please make a thread letting them know about www.weaponvideos.org We appreciate everyones help in expanding and contributing to the site.
