Appearing on MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Thursday, former New York City mayoral candidate and author Mark Green advocated for new legislation that would allow people to identify and locate gun owners who lived in their neighborhoods. He compared it to the already existing “Megan’s Law,” which lets citizens know if a convicted sex offender lives near them.

This pisses me off I have nothing to say. Speechless. However, More cooks like this may be a good thing. To show how deranged some of these idiot anti gunners are.

How does it enhance public safety?

Publishing the names and/or addresses of gun owners is like publishing a shopping list for burglars wanting to score firearms.

How does that enhance public safety?

Panicked logic is just not logical (candidate for a bumper sticker?)

It is the same quality of panicked logic that makes it illegal to sell bulletproof children's book bags to Connecticut residents.

Guess Rockland and Westchester Cos..........might become the Home Invasion Capitols of the country.......Maybe ?

In a way this is good.
The lunes have shown their true colors and now those fence sitting gun owners are finally speaking up.
Then fight is on.

Mencken was right. "Democracy is the political theory that the people know what they want, and they deserve to get it good and hard." And here I always that we were a Republic.(if we can keep it) I feel it slipping away.

Does anyone know if there has been a site created yet to post anti gun AWB pushing people's home addresses with a link to Google Maps?

Yeah, I think it would be much more useful for burglars to know which houses DON'T have any firearms.

Except that too many of the anti-gunners (I mean politicians) employ armed bodyguards.

Think about it. A list that shows which homes have permit holders effectively lists all the homes that DON'T.

Ergo, the ones not listed are OK to do home invasions while occupied. The ones listed are REALLY good to hit when unoccupied (assuming the permit holders do not also carry regularly, the guns are likely to be at home).

Now, what the burglars really need are lists of homes of gun permit holders cross-referenced with homes where people with carry permits do not reside. Pure gold (or gunmetal, whichever you prefer) to burglars.

In any event, those who seek to publish that information could hardly be more help to lawbreakers if they tried.

Feel free to send this post to ALL newspapers or magazines who have expressed a desire to publish these lists (if you think their intentions honorable) or to their competitors if you think them insincere.

I saw this interview live. He was as much an unreasoned nincompoop in person as from just reading his words. Never thought I'd see anyone I prefer less than Bloomberg.
