While our ammo does go there, the truth of the matter is that the Russians make tons of it, and there are war pallets still being produced which those cartels can easily buy much cheaper than they can buy it in the states.

Great photos! You know, maybe they could take all that confiscated ammo and send it back up here at a discounted price? Eh eh?

I find the use of balaclavas by supposedly honest law enforcement officers very disconcerting. given that Mexican LE get targeted on a regular basis by the "bad guys", I'd say the use of balaclavas is a smart thing to do.

There are millions of rounds of 7.62x39 and 51 Surplus out there. I have no doubt that they (the cartels) are getting it from other sources.

True, NRAer. I prefer "decriminalization" because they were never actually "legalized" in the first place. They existed before we did, some sensationalist decided to blame problems on an inanimate thing, and they were criminalized instead of the criminals. Still, your point is a good one.

SquirrelNuts: Not to go off topic... but what is story behind your signature. Would love to hear it.

I have a lot of people ask me that. I guess I need to post it and then refer to it. The basic story is that I was being charged by two pit bulls that had caused a lot of problems in the neighborhood in the past, and came after my family twice before that date. They are no longer with us.
