i carry both every day . that being said FOX is better , hotter and more imediate . The only reason i carry a can of sabre as well is that FOX doesnt use this specific model of MK6 that Sabre Does.
Sabre in a stream is better then FOX as far as quanity and ballistics
I would have to say both are great products but Sabre Red when Lab tested is much hotter than Fox. Sabre Red is used by all of the largest departments in the US (Chicago, NYPD, Miami PD, Phoenix PD, Houston PD, Boston PD, Nashville PD, Detroit PD,) It is very hot and will spray any direction. I like the Spitfire because it has the same formula as Sabre REd is HPLC tested and is the easiest to get on target and carry with you all the time.
take the taste test , dont listen to internet banter and "independent lab tests" , dont look at numbers and reviews . Take the test . spend the $30 and get a can of both . Get sprayed a few weeks apart . see which one you would want to save your life.
i have done this and its i can say fox by a landslide . I do carry sabre as well and its a great product but it does not work as fast and it is not nearly as mean as fox.
if someone says im wrong then they have not been spray directly with both. Im the kind of person who does not have a resistance to chem sprays . CS will kill me as much as OC or CN . i have been sprayed with them all and they all affect me . They are different in types of pain but they all hurt me.
Fox was the worst including combo sprays i have been hit with.
Also Cone over stream . it has its disadvantages when it comes to wind but it much more effective as far as aiming and how fast the burn picks up.
if you dont believe me , take the taste test and be your own judge.
Fox Labs 5.3 Cone Spray. Police officer I talked with said it has worked every time for him and it works faster and burns hotter than anything he has felt. Dont get caught up in the numbers game that some companys are pitching.
Sweet a pepper spray "caliber" war. Get what's available that you're comfortable with. One may burn a little hotter and a little faster than the other, but I'm sure either will do the job quite well.
The Fox Labs product *may* indeed be a better product, but these two sets of videos cannot be compared. The Fox is used by two people who seem completely unable to tolerate it, but they're obviously ordinary folk, not officers in training. The Sabre Red is used on people who are either already professionals or training to be professionals and there seems to be a big difference in the way it's all handled, IMHO, based on the mindset.
Any comparison "testing", as alluded to by NorestRDS, should be done on the same subjects.
When I did the gas chamber exercise in the military, many of us came through it with lots of tears and snot strings, but were able to stay composed and to function to a certain degree. This is how the Sabre Red videos came off to me. In the same group of people at the same time, many of us came through it in full panic mode, screaming and crying like little girls, puking and running into things, which is the group that the Fox Labs vids made me think of.
