FR8 Stripper Clip

Does anyone know what stripper clip works in the FR8 rifle ?

I would appreciate any responses from someone that has actually used the clip in an actual FR8 rifle.

If the FR-7 is the 93 and the FR-8 is the 98 copy then I'd imagine that the 98 stripper would work in the FR-8...

I've tried 98 clips in my FR8 and can't seem to get the 308 to load onto the clips properly, and then if I do get that part right, can't seem to get them to strip into the mag proper. So your guess is as good as mine. FWIW, I was using yugo surplus strippers.

I have modern made stripper clips that I bought from Champion's Choice. I believe they are made for .308. I use them for .30-06 in my 1903A3 and they work smooth as silk.
They won't fit into the stripper clip guide of the FR8.

I have chrome-plated, 2-piece M-98 stripper clips that work perfect in my FR-8.

Back when we had a couple FR-8s, we couldn't get clips to fit. Widened the slot on one and it worked fine, but I guess it might be easier to just find some that fit.
