Franchi 12ga O/U

Hi guys , I have a fellow wanting me to repair his Franchi o/u ,I believe it is the Alcione model . The problem as it was brought to me is the top lever will not close all the way and therefore the locking block does not close all the way . There is NO spring tension on the top lever . I have the reciever stipped down to the only things left in the reciever are the top lever and locking block .My question is how do the top lever and block come out of the reciever .I dont want to force parts .
