Frankenstein Range Report

Well, I finally got "Franky" to a point that I could try to throw some lead downrange. Being I had no idea of what to expect I mounted it in my test stock, which is a cut down military stock that I bedded and free floated the barrel. I use it to help sort out the particulars of these 1903s.

Anyway I loaded up 10 rounds from a recipt that I know should shoot reasonably accurately from this type of firearm.
175 gr. Sierra Match Kings/56.0 gr. reloder 19/CCI BR primers/in well prepped Winchester casings/OAL 3.350
Set it up on the bags. Did a 10 cent bore sight at 100 yrds. And away we went. Point of aim is between the 2 red circles. Here's the results.

This is the first time I ever pulled the trigger on this thing.
Made 2 scope adjustments to get to the 3 shoot group.

Second 5 rds.
This thing may actually prove to be pretty darn accurate.
It will be very interesting to see what happens when I put it all into the full military stock.

99% Finished

Well, it looks like "Franky" is just about finished. I put it in its full military configuration. Ended up not using the stock set I oroginally intended to use for a couple of reasons. So I used a scant stock set I have. With the exception of a couple of cosmetic changes I want to make to a couple of hardware pieces it's pretty much done.
Of course about 3 minutes after it was done I broke out the loading press and about 3 minutes after I had some ammo loaded I was out the door to the range. So here's the results.
