Frankford Hand Deprimer

I have been prepping a lot of range brass and depriming it all.on my Hornady single stage press with a Lee Universal Decapping Die.
I seen the Frankford hand depriming tool on e bay last night.
Any one use one of these?
If these work good I could deprime anywhere besides standing at the press.
Do the primers stay contained? If they do I could deprime while watching stuff on TV.


Do they use shell holders?
If so regular press shell holders?
Lee Auto Prime shell.holders?ĺ

if so, i have this, and i got it specifically to deprime the small primers on a .45 ACP.

and yes, it has plastic shell holders

comes with a "glass" ejected primer holder.

you can watch tv, sit on the toilet, pet the dog, eat a pizza......

i think it works great.

That's the one, looks like I should ordee it.
I get buckets of range brass and standing at the press gets boreing when depriming five gallon buckets of brass.
Plus i,m getting all that carbon & grit on the ram of the press..i have to spray the ram & wipe it clean
several times a night.
I will order one from e bay or amazon.

For about the same money you can get a lee app press and deprime cases a 100 times faster. And swage primer pocket size bullets and of course size cases
And it is made in the USA not China

I like mine. I deprime all of my brass with it, usually watching TV.

I also have one and love it. It helps keep my bench and press a lot cleaner. It may be a little slower than the press, but I can deprime while enjoying watching TV with the family.

I don't have room on my reloading set up for another press and I want to get away from the reloading room while depriming range brass.
I deprime and wet tumble everything before resizing. i just deprimed another 750 - 223/5.56 cases and has to clean the ram twice.
Range brass from a gravel pit has a lot.of grit in and on it. It isn't good on your press ram.
That is one of the reasons for the hand deprimer plus I don't have to be sitting or standing at my press to deprime brass before tumbleing

I went to Cabelas an hour & a half ago, no Frankford hand held deprimeing tool.

Tomorrow I will check the Sportsmans Warehouse in Everett, Kent and the Cabelas down in Lacy, the Bass Pro in Tacoma and SportCo in Fife.
If no one has it I will order one from Amazon or E Bay when I get back home.

It comes with plastic collets that will work with .20 cal up to .338 Lapua

Had one but sent it back. Too slow for me. Plus I‘be had tennis elbow, and this tool didn’t help with that, for sure.

I think I will buy the lee hand held set up Troy posted.

I've used the Frankford deprimer for several thousand rounds. For crimped primers, it gives your hand a workout. You might be better off wearing gloves.
I found that the plastic cup that catches the primers works loose, usually after I have 100+ primers in it, spilling everywhere. I just take it off and set it aside and deprime over a trash can. I get a system going, popping the spent primer into the trash can, then flipping the deprimed case into a box beside the can.

I like the Lee bench priming tool to prime the cases. I bought two of them along with two extra primer trays.
One is set up for small primers and one is set up for large primers.

Did you know even CCI primers are made of brass? (nickel plated)

I don't understand why people throw away spent primers & brass cases that're culled as being bad.
They can go in a bucket & taken to the scrap yard for cash.
Not much, but still I usually get $20+ two or three times a year.

If you're one who cleans up at the range, you might bhe able to do that every month or even more.
