I just read about the Frazier Historical Arms Museum, as seen at The Wall Street Journal's opinionjournal.com. Looks like a cool place to visit.

"When visitors walk into the new Frazier Historical Arms Museum, the first thing they see is an 1880s Gatling gun. ( :) ) But if they think this is merely another gun museum, they soon learn otherwise. For after touring the three floors of gallery space, visitors not only have a clear understanding of the evolution of armaments but of the historical events in which they were used. And that's what sets this museum--which opened May 22--apart."

"The parent who complained, Karen Young, doesn't want fish-shaped toy guns in her house because she accidentally shot an ex-boyfriend one time when the gun she was beating him with went off."

Here is the link to the museum website:

I haven't been yet, but the walk through the local news did for the grand opening ceremonies looked very impressive. I hope to get by there and check it out soon.

For those that don't know. A lot of the exhibits are from the personal exhibit of Owsley Brown Frazier (chairman of the museum) who also happens to be part of the Brown family that owns Brown Forman distilleries here. Purveyors of such fine concoctions as Woodford Reserve KY Bourbon Whiskey. :)

The museum is located at 9th & Main downtown, right next door to The Louisville Slugger museum.

The Frazier should be a must see for Knob Creek visitors, along with the Patton Museum.
