Hmmm. I really should get a subscription for that mag. Then maybe I'd not keep getting duplicates. The stores hold on to an issue so long, after a while I forget what the cover looks like and think its a new issue...and buy another! You'd think I'd look closer, first. Sigh. Ole zeimer is after me, for sure.:uhoh:

I dropped Handloader for several reasons, the 2 main ones being:

1. They fired John Barsness then ran a bunch of his articles afterward.

2. Mike Venturino kept writing the same article over an over and over again, only to read them over and over and over again in all the other Peterson rags.

I may be wrong but I think JB left so he could freelance and make more money. The thing is it seems like all his new articles are rewrites of his old articles. Except a lot shorter.

I agree 100% on the M Venturino complaint. I am soooo tired of BP cartridge rifle articles. I didn't read them either. They were the wordiest articles about how to shoot paper or hit a metal ram. One is okay. But not every friggin article! They were a huge hole in every issue.

Gil Sengal can do no wrong. I like RH Vandenberg too.

I used to subscribe, but a lot of the articles were about rare, unknown or little known calibers that were of no use to me, like the .241 Stomper, or some such cal. Also heavy into advertising.
