Does anyone know of any affordable replicas of these muskets? I see that Pedersoli makes them, but they are ~$1,000...

If you are a bit handy, a kit might be one way to go. I think Dixie used to sell kits of that musket, I am not sure if they still do. They were about half the price of the complete gun.

Hi, Onehooter,

Whatever anyone thought, or thinks, about Eleanor Roosevelt, I simply can't imagine that she ever said or even thought anything like that supposed quote. Do you have a source for it?

Jim

I first saw that quote in the Parris Island Depot, Master Gunners office. It was framed and hanging on the wall behind his desk. One of the first things you saw when you entered and "snapped to".

OK, DROOLING BEGINE!

Here you are Warbow. An ORIGINAL 1777 Dragon Charleville from the French end!
The shooter is our current President, Didier Lundy and this was taken with a few others in December last year when we celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Austerlitz.
Enjoy.
Duncan
