Friendship Starts Tommorrow

The 80th Nationals at Friendship Indiana starts tomorrow Saturday the 8th
And runs all week until next Sunday. Lots of people already there. We are
Leaving Sunday for the trip. This began in 1933. Lots of history here. Usually
Around 5,000 people attend. Pictures from yesterday there.

I was up there last week to get powder. They have the road from Farmer Retreat back open so you don't have to go the long way around now. I hope to be up there at least one or two days next week.

I miss going out there. Used to buy powder from Turner Kirkland for $26/keg. Still have my shotgun with the Mellott barrel I built. Also have my second place 50 yard musket championship cup from about 70 or so. Two of our old club members here won, on different years, the national trap championship.

Yes that is a copy of the Ruger frame. Those grips are for the Ruger Mark 2.
The whole family loves going to Friendship. Started taking the daughter when
she was 3. We been going steady since 1991. I shot there first in 1977.
Really lots of very nice people. Oh, the pistol has a Green Mountain barrel.

I'll be there Friday with the grandchildren. Taught the 4 year old grandson to throw a Hawk yesterday. What a hoot. Two handed over the head at 10 feet.
