Just got back from attending the National Shoot at Friendship Indiana. Very
tired after the 10 hour drive back to Kansas City. Well the ladies were hot!
In their shooting. There already was a 97 at 25 yds posted and the same lady
had posted a 81 at 50 yds. With the wife's back killing her, I really didn't think
she could beat that score. She could hardly walk. I should have had more
faith. Friday she put up a 25 yd target and fired a 99. If that wasn't enough
she puts up another and fires another 99!!! Thats two 99's back to back.
Her 50 yd was a little down with a 80, but it was good enough for her 8th
win. Boy was I proud. I got a 1st place in the "As Issue" 25 yd revolver.
Used my Euroarms 44 1858 Remington with the Lothar match barrel. It shot
really well. Daughter came in 4th in the Jr agg. and second in the 25 yd
re-entry match. Here are some pictures. That's the wife and me on the far
left. Also the daughter shooting. There were several thousand shooters there
weather great. Low 80's and no rain. Had a great time.

Hmm. Phil, you didn't by any chance earn a living shooting pool in Kansas City several years ago, did you?;)

Seriously, well done and congrats to you and the ladies. You do us proud. Wish I could have been there.

I resemble that remark. I had to have the old Euroarms inspected by the
chief range master and a sticker put on it. All I shot was "As Issue" and
the replica revolver match. Birdy didn't cut me any slack. Let me tell you that
revolver will shoot. First 5 shots just one ragged hole in the "10" ring. I only
gave 85.00 for it. Used .454 balls 14 grs Swiss. Creame of wheat.

Birdy did you a favor. If it had been my range you would have had to shoot backwards looking over your shoulder using your off hand.

Hey, I didn't get to go - I gotta have SOME fun.:D

While I was there I had three people check the revolver barrel for the twist
rate. It is 1-18. It has six lands and is the Lothar Walther match grade
barrel. Euroarms put these on the 1858 Remington's that had the dove tail
front sight. Cylinder bores measure .450 and the groove dia. of the barrel
measures .450. So if you run by a Euroarms Remington with dove-tail front
sights buy it and sell it to me!

Dang Phil,t those girls of yours sure can shoot. I bet you're proud. I know I would be.
