Ok, since its the unwritten rule of THR/TFL that every member create a thread about SHTF/TEOTWAWKI, I am only fulfilling that obligation.

There is a movie called "The Day After Tomorrow"* that has some spectacular effects, and looks like the scenario that some of us plan for (and it wipes NYC off the map too, not a bad start ).

So, is this truely what we have all been planning for?

Couldn't we wipe Chicago off the map instead? Much more evil in Chicago then they ever thought of having in NYC.

It's TEOTWAWKI ... and I feel fine. But not about this movie. It looks like most Hollywood - big budget, big effects, big hype, but no story and no substance. I could be wrong.

At last it provides more fuel for our paranoia - now everyone's going to go out and buy more spam and powdered milk.

And I don't think the ice age came about as a result of "one storm".
