Has anyone heard any new info on the Front Sight controversy? It was going hot and heavy on TFL and Glocktalk for a while and then it just died down.

the school or the use of it for shooting?

unless it's a rifle or distance with a pistol, i use f/s only.

as for the school in nv, i don't have one

As I recall (and since this is not GT I can talk about it) Someone posted hate remarks about Front Site. The Mods at GT told them to cool it and keep discussion civil. That didn't happen and Front Site's Lawyer (maybe it was one of their personal I don't recall) sent Eric "administrator of GT" a letter threatening legal action/etc. Eric said no more Talk about Front Site.
I tried to get things smothed out but didn't seem to help. So their adds were pulled and stuff. :(
FWIW do NOT talk about this on GT. I tried one search and did not find the thread. Odds are it was deleted. Lots of bad feelings on this.
I got e-mail of free upgrade if I bought a membership in FS by Dec 31 then Jan 10 or 15th. If I was closer it would be a darn good deal.

Stay with me now, really do have a point to make. I'm a police officer. As such, for the last few days I've been doing my best to answer some of the more "anti police" threads here. No big deal, I think I've been able to hold my own. On a few posts I've been able, IMO, to answer some of the more "kooky" questions and throw a little cold water on the faces of some of the more serious "cop haters". On some others, I've taken my lumps. As I said, no big deal. What someone says about me, as they do when they paint ALL officers with the same brush, doesn't make me loose any sleep. I'd like to think I take as good as I give.

My point? I suppose what I'm trying to say is, even though I have no knowledge of what the problem seems to be with some folks and FS, I don't have much good to say about someone who, when being talked about, jumps around yelling "I'll sue, I'll sue".

If you're man enough to have your say, then be man enough to let others have theirs.

Larry, there's a lot more to it than that and I think you've gotten it a little skewed, but I'll not address it. I'll leave it to someone who has more experience with and more patience for the subject. Suffice to say that Front Sight Is not the good guy in this situation and is not the one being wronged.

"Hate remarks?"

Hardly.

The link cited above contains all the needed information, so I'll not add more.

The truth shall set you free.

you did notice I went from MEMORY. So I maybe didn't couch things in best manner. I should have dug up my e-mails from/to Front Site and Eric. BUT I feel those were not for public consumption. I couldn't find links to GT so folks could read it themselves.
I agree getting lawyers involved when they did was a dumb move. Lawyers tend to INCREASE the problem in its early stages. I.E. where if both sides are half reasonable they can work it out. BUT they become indespensible once things go worse. May I never need one for anything more then buying stuff and writing my will.
