Front sight interchangeable from GP-100 to SP-101?????

I see that there are plenty of front sight options out there for my GP-100….but very little for the SP-101 (or am I not looking enough?)

But BOTH front sights look pretty much the same aside from the GP-100’s is taller.
They’re both pinned.

Can I slap a GP-100 sight onto the SP-101?

What are you trying to achieve by swapping front sights?

That's NOT what i'm trying to do.
There are PLENTY of GP-100 sights out there....but few SP-101.

Can i buy an aftermarket GP-100 sight and install it on the SP?

I think the answer is no. Gemini was asked if they would put an SP101 sight on a GP and they said it was different. I believe the GP sight is taller. The SP when shooting 125 gr JHPs seems to require a lower than std. sight to shoot poa. Gemini does offer a fiber optic front and a gold bead sight. Express Sights offers a standard and big dot with or without tritium and Meprolight offers a tritium sight as does Trijicon.

I am pretty sure that the portion you can't see is very differently shaped. I had the same question years ago and it didn't work.
