So far I have had 21 ftf and ran 310 rounds through it. I have noticed most of the ftf has occurred with certain brands of ammo.

9 CCI blazer aluminum
7 Remington UMC (wally world stuff)
3 Magtech
1 WWB

Funny thing is it ate all of the cci blazer brass with no problems.

Any suggestions of things to do before sending off to Taurus?

I've had many problems with WWB and Magtech in both striker fired pistols and revolvers. They usually light off on the second strike but they do have hard primers. Neither my SIG245 or PT145 was/is 100% reliable with Magtech. Never had problems with UMC, all defensive loads, or my home rolled. My neighbor, however, had trouble with UMC and his 40 cal. Glock.

If if is happening with your defensive ammo, then send it back immediately.

FTF = Failure To Feed or Failure To Fire?

If failure to fire, do they go on a second strike? Some ammo has harder primers than others that's why you need to shoot a significant number of rounds of your carry ammo before carrying it! Make sure you don't have oil or grease and dirt in the striker channel.

If its failure to feed, I'd try more aluminum Blazer And see if the problem is getting better or not, and if not contact Taurus if the failures are not confined to a single mag (nice of them to include two with the gun).
