They're promoting the next auction with a tie in to the TV series The Walking Dead. They have a bunch of guns similar to the ones seen in the show.

While WE DO NOT talk about fantasy end of the world topics here, RIA makes a good point about the influence on firearms (and non firearms weapons) interest the show inseminated in pop culture.

So, lets not turn this into a silly fantasy thread, but stay focused on the firearms themselves.

A lot of material to wade through.
Short version, are they selling off the prop guns after the last season has been filmed?
Do they have them catalogued together?

I never watched the show but I was aware it had a lot of firearms in it. This breakdown is s really neat trip through the seasons as the stories evolve from primarily zombie/human to the inevitable power-vacuum human/human conflicts.

Thanks for the cool post .

Stay safe.

There are a couple signature weapons that will bring big money if they sell off screen used props. The Python used by the lead character, the crossbow used by one of the others, and probably the baseball bat used by one of the opposing survivors. The other stuff just kinda blends in. The assortment of weapons used is impressive, and is so wide that it does not put any serious focus on any given weapon or weapon type with possible exception to the Python which has been a hot item since Colt dropped them.

You can get a repro of Negan's bat from AMAZON.CO, believe it or not!!!!!;)

Funny how they obviously misidentified Glenn's 1911 as a Commander and not a Govt. Model.

Also, the tank in Season One was a British Cheiftan, not a US Abrams. The producers needed something with a belly hatch for Rick to escape through, and the M1 doesn't have one.

One interesting tidbit is that the little Colt Detective Special usually seen carried by Carol started off as Ricks nightstand gun.

No, I think you've got the relationship reversed 180 degrees. TV show (or movie, for that matter) writers don't really have all that much imagination. They base what they write on something else, whether it be a popular fiction novel, or real life. They're influenced by and are getting their ideas for scripts from firearms actually used and not the other way around, as you hypothesize.
