Fascinating stuff and very enjoyable to view & read about. Though way, way beyond my budget it still amazes me as to how much firearms of that age, that are in such pristine shape, have appreciated in value far beyond what I would have guessed. In the writeup on the Winchester 1 of 1000 rifle, the person who commissioned it laments that he had to send two examples back because Winchester did not make the rifles as he had ordered, and offered no explanation as to why.

Seems poor customer service is nothing new.
