Tomarrow I'll be taking my second Advanced Defensive Pistol course at Tac Pro Shooting Center this weekend. It has done nothing but rain for the last month and, it is forcasted to rain all weekend. Hell, it's raining now. I'm looking forward to going but, I'm like a cat when it comes to getting wet. Once I'm wet and soaked though everything's cool but, it's the getting wet part I hate. I'll probably leave the jacket in the car and get it over with. I have no qualms about getting dirty though and, my wife is going to love me when I get home and strip my muddy clogs off on the porch:neener:. Tonight, I'll be getting everything ready to go to include detail stripping and cleaning my G19, putting all my ammo loosely in an ammo can and packing up all needed gear for the class. I'll be driving 125 miles there and back each day due to the hotel that I normally stay at is booked up though the weekend. I really need to get out of the house for a little bit and despite the weather, this will be a much needed escape. The drive alone there and back will be nice to.

Well, after driving there I found out the class was postponed until august. It was a last minute thing but, I made the most of it. I ate breakfast at the Smokestack and shot for about three hours in between the episodes of rain. I did buy a set of XS 24/7 Big-Dot sights for my G26. I mounted and sighted them in before I came home. It really wasn't a wasted trip.

No Pax, it wasn't that. It was due to only two people signing up. The class actually was to start tomarrow but, I read the calender wrong and came today. They contacted the other guy to see if he wanted to come on in today and condense the three day class to a day in a half due there only being two of us. He declined so it was rescheduled until august. I'm cool with that. I really needed to do some shooting on my own to work out the bugs. I hadn't shot since my last advanced class in December due to my hectic schedule. I also have a ton of stuff to do here at the house so, it works out better that way. I'm getting the complete house sided with that last of the 21 replacement windows getting installed today. I need to get some of the outside stuff done before they start on the siding which is next week after the holiday. It hurts to give up $21,383 but at least it's going into the house.

Ahh, I see. That makes a bit more sense.

You'll post an after action report in August though, right?? :)
