Went to my local outdoor range yesterday to shoot my (almost) new Colt Stainless Commander. Just had a trigger job done on it and it shot VERY well for me!

Some of my shooting buddies were also there. I got to shoot one of the new Ruger LCP's. It shot well considering it has almost no sights whatsoever. Trigger pull is ok but very long. It seems to be a good choice for what it is for-last chance-up close and personal-easy to carry ALWAYS type gun. Recoil is not as bad as I had thought it might be with the uber-light gun in .380.

I also got to shoot a S&W .500 4"-ported AND a S&W .460 with an 8"(?) ported barrel. I don't have words to describe them! You just need to shoot one if you get the chance. They will put a BIG HONKIN' HEAVY hunk of lead where you want it to go if you have the guts! Squeeze the trigger gently, but HOLD ON TIGHTLY!

Double tappers need not apply! No need as one is enough to get the job done-whatever the job is!
