I'm working at a dude ranch in Colorado this summer and really enjoying it. Most of the people here, including the owners, have conservative values. Day two here though I got into a gun discussion with a girl who was offended at my 3.5" sheath knife because she felt it was unnecessary. The conversation was good, and I think I got her to think, but she still thinks no one should have no guns.
Well, the next day was Sunday, and a neighboring rancher invited us to help him control his ground squirrel problem. So we loaded up in a truck with four bricks of .22 and various rifles and handguns and spent three hours massacring everything that moved in a 150 acre pasture. Pulled back on the ranch, guns and all, and there she was in the yard. I guess the sight of guns does't scare her to death, and I think she's on the wrong ranch.
