Charles W. Pates book is back in print.

U.S. HANDGUNS OF WORLD WAR II: The Secondary Pistols and Revolvers

http://www.gunandswordcollector.com/Templates/book pages/pate_HG.html

It is the most authoritative book I have seen on Colt Commandos, S&W Victory Models, High-Standards, Colt General officers guns, Glove Guns, etc. I have ever seen.

This new addition includes more serial number data, etc.
And it will no doubt be Pates last up-date as he is running short on time like many of us.

It has been out of print for years.
And old copies are selling for several hundred dollars on the used book market.

Better get'm while you can get'm again!!!

Re short time; Charles W. Clawson has passed away. This will no doubt add to the extortionate price of his books. I wonder if his widow will allow a new printing.

U.S. Handguns has been a source for S&W serial number info; by reading about various sales in the 1920's and 1930's it is possible to get information that seems not to be available elsewhere, short of getting a factory letter.
