Sorry To Bump This Up..But

I enjoyed the program..very informative and wonderful footage. However, there was a discernible "anti gun slant" at the end. They spent the final 30 seconds pointing out the number of firearm related deaths in the U.S. each year.

Is this indicative of the History Channel? I just started watching ("Shootout") and am curious.

Thanks

Give us the executive summary? What weapons did they list? Did it mention any specific cartidges? Any glaring omissions?

This specific program delt with automatic and semi-automatic weapons. I tuned in 1/2 hour into a 2 hour show and missed quite a bit. What I did view, however, was very comprehensive...following the history of each particular weapon from inception to current day models.

The Luger was show cased as was the 1911. Thompson machine gun and AK 47's were spotlighted as well.

Overall, a well done piece with the noted exception of the final 30 seconds or so.

Sounds like a good program and yet another reason to get a TiVo. I'll keep my eyes peeled for reruns.

No Typical

Mainstream broadcast involving firearms these days, no matter how informative and educational they appear to be would complete without the message of the left... Those meany evil guns! :barf:
